Crewe vs Exeter City

The Alex came through Saturdays 1-0 win over Colchester seemingly
without any fresh injury problems cropping up. Chris Porter, Chris
Dagnall, Ryan Wintle and James Jones remain unavailable.

The victory last time out was 20th-placed Crewes first in seven games.

Exeters Liam McAlinden, Pierce Sweeney and Dan Seaborne are all expected
to miss out again. The trio sat out the 1-0 loss to Mansfield on
Saturday due to injury – McAlinden and Sweeney have both been nursing
groin problems.

Jordan Storey was another not involved in that game, a week on from
being caught in the face in a clash with Wycombes Adebayo Akinfenwa, but
could return to action on Tuesday. It is thought unlikely that Luke
Croll will be making his comeback from injury at Gresty Road.

The Railwaymen have gone five home games without a defeat against Exeter
in the Football League (W2 D3) since a 1-0 loss in December 1985.

Exeter have won the last two league clashes between these two teams by
an aggregate score of 7-0. Crewe have kept a clean sheet in three of
their last four home league games (W2 D1 L1), as many as in their
previous 10 combined.

The Grecians have lost six of their last seven away matches in league
competition (W1).
